The Cold Spring Springers nipped the Brainerd Bees 4-2 on Friday night. The Bees held a 2-0 lead going into the 8th until two errors coupled with Springer hits helped the Springers score three in the 8th and one in the 9th. The Bees were lead by Blake Eller, who pitched a great game allowing 4 runs, 1 earned, on 5 hits, 4 walks, while recording 9 strikeouts. Eller also went blasted a solo-homer in the 3rd and finished 2-4. Pat Skogen hit a double and scored a run and Mark Ortega had an RBI single. The loss brings the Bees record to 4-2 on the season.
