The Bees were defeated by the St. Joe's Saints in the season opener 9-3. The Bees struck first with two runs in the first but Saint Joe took the lead in the 4th and never looked back. Burrell Flanagan took the loss as he gave up three runs in 5 innings of work. On offense, the Bees were lead by Tyler Lenz as he went 2-4 with an RBI. Mark Ortega had an RBI double and Burrell Flanagan had an RBI single. The loss put the Bees at 0-1 and they next play the Granite City Grays in St. Cloud.
